TOP 10 CANADIAN COMEDIANS - Mike Myers, Jim Carrey, John Candy, Phil Hartman, Martin Short, Scott Thompson, Dan Aykroyd

Canadians are known for their great sense of humor.

Below is my personal Top 10 list of Funniest Canadian Comedians. It is of course subjective, and it was hard to leave out legends like classic greats such as Rich Little, Wayne and Shuster. It was also hard to omit up and comers like Seth Rogen. Others like Tom Green, Catherine O’Hara, and the members of the “This Hour has 22 Minutes” crew also almost made the cut.

How many of these Canadian comedians and stars make your list of funniest Canadians of all time?

Ahem...you left out Rick Mercer. I think he is the funniest Canadian. On your list, probably Leslie Nielsen, but I loved Phil Hartman.

Yes, those two are great. I couldn't watch This Hour has 22 Minutes if she left... She is still there isn't she? :)

Hi, Greek One,

I appreciated your entries in the "worst sentence ever" contest, so I hopped right over here.

Enjoyed this hub. Learned stuff. If you ever do Funniest Canadian Skit, here's my nomination: Synchronized swimmers, by SCTV. "Hey, you. I know you."

Hi GO,

I am from India and all these people are new to me.I have one common feeling for all the comedians in the world-they seem to have suffered a lot in their personal lives but still make others happy. That needs guts.I loved this report. Thanks:)

What about Collin Mocherie? Or Ryan Stiles? two of the funniest actors of all time. If you don't know who they are, here are their acheivments: Ryan Stiles: Herb Melnick in the NUmber One rated TV show, Two and a Half Men, Himself in both 'Who's Line is it Anyway's' and he also acted in The Drew Carey Show.

Colin Mocherie: Himself in both 'Who's Line is it Anyway's', He is currently on tour with Brad Sherwood on an stand up, improv special, and he has made numerous movies that I haven't seen so I can't give my opinion on them. They both are also on Drew Carey's Improv-palooza
